  • Variety of different entry points around the loch, flat rocks with gradual slope in water on north west side, South East side has a small beach.

  • About 500m walk from Mugdock Park Car Park  mainly downhill through fields.

  • Very popular local OWS location. There are no significant outflows or inflows so risk of strong currents is low. Wind on the surface can make it choppy. 

  • 12-18 in summer, winter 1-4.

  • Not formally tested, general consensus is water quality is good.

  • Ideal for complete beginners through to experienced OWS.
